Learning to pick locks is a fun exercise in learning about locking mechanisms, honing a useful skill, and getting a better understanding of how locks work and protect—or fail to protect—you and your stuff.
If you've never picked a lock before, you're missing out. It's fun, for the most part it's a strictly analog/mechanical pursuit (a therapeutic break from electronic gadgets), and unlike say, learning to juggle, when you end up locked out of your house you can actually put your skill to use.

HowTo Put Custom Logo in Your Windows System Properties
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 10:22 PM Posted under Labels: Computer, HowTo, Windows
I share with you something from Maximum PC Magazine March 2008.
Brand your PC with a custom logo. OEM vendors often dress up the System Properties screen with a custom logo and support information, giving prebuilt PCs an air of professionalism. Well guess
what? You can add the same personal touch to your own machine in just a few easy steps.
- Open up any photo-editing program and create a 180x114-pixel image.
- Save the image as a bitmap and name it oemlogo.bmp, then
place it in C:\Windows\System32. - Next, create a Notepad file in the same folder and save it as
oeminfo.ini. OEM resellers use this file to enter customer-support information, but you can write whatever you wish as long as you use the following format:
[General]
Manufacturer=Your Name/What ever
Model=Your Name/What ever
[Support Information]

Beginner's Guide To BitTorrent
Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 5:05 PM Posted under Labels: HowTo, Learn
What is it
BitTorrent is not a program. [1] It's a method of downloading files using a distributed peer-to-peer file sharing system. The programs that you use to download files via the BitTorrent protocol are called BitTorrent clients.BitTorrent is not like Limewire/Kazaa/Napster/other P2P programs you've used in the past. This is often the biggest source of confusion for people new to BitTorrent. It's not difficult to use, it's just different. As soon as you forget about your old file-sharing program (and you will once you start using BT), the easier it will be to start using BitTorrent.
